The joy of a journey is heightened by the joy of coming home. You return home, but the emotions of the trip remain with you, fragments of stories and memories.
The pieces in the Homer collection are closely linked to the place in which they were born, they intend to tell the stories of their city, but they dream of traveling to homes around the world, to be used, loved and appreciated without limits or borders.

Venice: the point of departure, and also that of return, for Homer’s journey.

Venice is a city built on water, but without drinking water. For this reason the city’s wells, thanks to a system which filters and conserves rain water, have for centuries been a key element to city life. Their importance is evident in many of the remaining precious and “authentic” examples of the carved marble and Istrian stone surrounding such wells, which are often decorated with prestigious patriarchal coats of arms, forever commemorating the donors of these important Venetian artifacts.

SANTI APOSTOLI

design

Pietro Lunetta

Santi Apostoli , based on these sinuous seventeenth-century forms, translates the daily life and the eternity of the Serenissima into a refined creation of bisque and enameled porcelain. This is a piece to be experienced, a piece as alive as the place in which the well is located, in the heart of the city.

Material: hand sculpted bisque porcelain and enamel.
Colours: white Istrian stone, black and green.
Dimension set: cm. 24x h.10

SAN SALVADOR

design

Pietro Lunetta

The form, materials and colours of San Salvador , an eclectic series of resin bowls characterised by irregular marked surfaces, revisit the first cloister well of the ancient monastery of San Salvador. The precious materials of the authentic well are recalled here, for example the pink of the well frame and the Istrian stone of the octagonal base with three concentric steps of bisque porcelain.

Materials: hand cast resin bowls and bisque porcelain plates.
Colours: antique pink, white Istrian stone.
Dimension set: cm. 28x h.10
